The Beginning.
Blinders began in a California port town where the SkullWing first appeared.
The Eyewear.
Blinders makes timeless, classic eyewear drawing on iconic styles from across the golden eras of fashion and design to combine the future of eyewear and art. Blinders spring hinges keep frames fitted and tight for outdoor and action sports, yet comfortable enough for all day use. All Blinders eyewear is prescription lens ready. You or your ophthalmologist can adjust your eyewear by gently bending the arms. The material we use, together with an inner wire, offers pliability and makes eyewear fitting easy. Blinders are made from Mazzucchelli Acetate, polished to a luxurious, hi-gloss finish. Cellulose Acetate is a natural (non-petroleum) bio-plastic polymer made from renewable cotton, wood and plant materials. Bio-plastics are a natural alternative to petroleum based plastics with unmatched feel, flexibility, colors and translucent properties of plants and wood. A refined process and tradition dating back to 1849 Italy, used by fine eyewear the world over. On the temples of every pair of Blinders eyewear sits the SkullWing.
The Box.
Each box is a handmade, one of one edition, featuring a one of a kind image of the SkullWing. Each SkullWing image correlates to the continuing odyssey of the SkullWing.
The Odyssey.
The SkullWing emblem is followed across space and time, in a continuing odyssey of short form video art, movie scenes, commercials, news footage, foreign films, music videos, movie trailers, instructional films, video games, archival footage, documentaries, UGC, informercials and an occasional outtake. Where will the adventure lead?
The Emblem.
The SkullWing represents the visual and mental focus associated with wearing vision focusing blinders while headed in the forward direction of the future.
The Adventure.
